3-S Mühendislik will be returning to exhibit at Lubricant Expo Europe 2024, after a successful show in Essen last year. This year, they will be showcasing their wide range of specialty esters, including Trimellitates, Polyol Esters, Complex Esters, Sorbitan Esters, 2-Ethylhexyl Esters, and Dicarboxylic Acid Esters, as well as new-generation saturated high-performance esters.

What area of the lubricants industry do you specialise in, and how does it benefit the industry?
Our facility in Turkey is specialized in producing oleochemicals as raw materials for the lubricant industry. We have over 60 different types of esters and we have the capacity to produce tailor made esters thanks to our highly capable R&D department. On the other hand, we are toll manufacturing partner of Quaker Houghton, the global leader in industrial process fluids, in Turkey. Lastly, we produce engine oils and metalworking fluids in our Uganda facility for the East African market.
Have the industry’s biggest challenges changed since 2023?
Apart from the commercial and geopolitical setbacks, the main challenge for the lubricant industry is shifting towards green and sustainable manufacturing. Companies need to adapt to these trends without compromising the product performance. We are in the business of sustainable, bio-based raw material production; therefore we do not consider this as a kind of challenge.
How do you think your company has developed since the last edition of the Expo?
During Lubricant Expo 2023, we had the chance to understand demands and requirements of the European market. Over the year, we have started to attain required performance and certification requirements for our product portfolio. We have realized our first deliveries to European market. Last but not the least, our sales office in the Netherlands have become operational.
How did the Lubricant Expo help your company?
Lubricant Expo helped our company to increase its global presence. We met many potential customers from all over the Europe and even other regions. It is the right place to get to know the lubricant market where you can meet the finished product and raw material manufacturers, as well as trading partners.
Having seen Lubricant Expo progress over the years, what are you most excited about for 2024?
We are excited to meet with our existing customers and discover new business opportunities. Moving from Essen to Düsseldorf, we believe this will attract more people to attend. We are looking forward to having busy and productive 3 full days.
What will you be showcasing on your stand at Lubricant Expo?
We will be showcasing our wide range of specialty esters such as Trimellitates, Polyol Esters, Complex Esters, Sorbitan Esters, 2-Ethylhexyl Esters and Dicarboxylic Acid Esters, as well as new generation saturated high-performance versions thereof.
